Remind Text Messages Update:

Remind Text Messaging has announced that anyone whose carrier is Verizon Wireless will no longer be able to receive free text messages.

How will this affect you?

Beginning January 28, 2019, the people who normally get your Remind messages as texts will no longer receive these messages if they have Verizon Wireless as their phone carrier.

What can you do?

WEST can still utilize Remind to avoid using text messages: download the mobile app or enable email notificationsboth of which are free of charge. Remind is also working hard on a solution that allows parents to continue to use Remind by text, and will share more details with users before January 28.

New Programs Coming to WEST:

SWIM FIT CONDITIONING PROGRAM ages 13 and over

Designed for swimmers age 13 and over that want to improve skills and stay in shape. The program is taught with the same emphasis on technique as our club swim team without the annual or swim meet commitment. This is a great way to gain a competitive advantage for High School swimming, especially when combined with our Summer Team.

Weekday: Monday-Friday 2:30 - 4:00pm (Starting Monday, February 18)

Weekend: Saturday & Sunday 12:00 - 1:00pm (Starting Saturday, February 2)

WEST CAMP ages 3 - 6
Coming Spring 2019! Including a swim lesson, children are able to learn and play at WEST. Weekdays from 9:30 - 11:30am, each class will include an in-water swim lesson, playtime, and arts and crafts. Learning excels here at WEST!

Updates to the Gym / Weight Room

To prepare our facility for these new programs we are planning to offer, we will be doing some modifications around WEST, the most notable will be a re-design of our space in the gym / weight room. We will be removing our ellipticals and treadmill in the following weeks as well as adding an exercise bike. We apologize for any inconvenience that these changes may cause moving forward.

Next Meet: Winter Challenge in Bellingham 1/26 - 1/27

For our new teammates who have just joined:

We are hoping to get all new swimmers to be able to participate in our upcoming meet (Winter Challenge in Bellingham.) You will be able to view our meet schedule as well as which groups are participating online here

On this Events page, you can declare which meets you are intending to attend. We understand the the online declaration period has past, so communicate with your group coach via email which meets you would be able to attend.

Our meet declarations policy is that parents must  DECLINE from meets that you will not be able to attend. If you are attending a meet, you do not need to confirm, as our coaches will automatically register your swimmer. Please contact your coach if you have any questions.

Annual Open Board Meeting

Tuesday, January 29th. Meeting will be held in the Mill Creek Community Association building in front of WEST from 6:30 - 8:00pm.

Stay tuned for more important news from WEST! Happy Swimming!
