Hello WEST Families,

Congrats to all our swimmers that competed at October Challenge this past weekend at Kamiak High School. It was a great first meet that showed all our kiddos’ hard work paying off as they chased their goal times down, while holding their technique. Great Job! WEST OFFICIALS NEEDED – Volunteer Hours Covered

October Challenge was a challenge (no pun intended) to have sanctioned. After our coaches meeting at the meet, we learned WEST was the only team there that did not have a proportionate amount of officials representing to run the meet smoothly. It is part of our duty as a USA Swimming club to be able to provide officials for locally hosted meets.

If you’re interested in taking an officials class, we have a few coming up close to us! Please RSVP prior with PNS to take a class or contact Aline Benson for more information.

HOSPITALITY NEEDED – Volunteer Hours Covered

Our wonderful hospitality team is looking for a few more spots on their crew. Hospitality is important to helping ensure team events and meets run smoothly! If you’re interested in joining, read through this informational document and contact Nancy Tien if you have any questions!

Olympian Clinic Itinerary (10/11 – 10-12)

Friday Evening:

4:00 - 4:30 Lia Neal in gym with Accelerate, Challenge and Discover Groups (AG Groups)

4:30 - 5:30 Lia Neal in water with AG Groups

5:30 - 6:00 Lia Neal in gym with PreComp and SwimFit.

*Accelerate and Challenge practice until 6:00pm.

6:00 - 6:30 Lia Neal in water with PreComp and SwimFit.

*Explore & Embark normal practice times.

*No Senior or Senior Elite Practice, @ Anacortes for Senior Circuit #2

Saturday Morning

7:30 – 9:00 Lia Neal with Senior Group in water

9:00 - 9:30 Lia Neal in gym with Embark and Explore

9:30 – 10:00 Lia Neal in water with Embark and Explore (Dev Groups, 4 lanes).

*Disco normal practice time (2 lanes).

*SwimFit, Jr SwimFit, and All PreComp Practices are Normal.

10:00 – 12:00 Challenge Practice

12:00 - 2:30 Accelerate Practice

2:30-5 Senior Groups Double 

***PreComp & SwimFit Families will receive a follow up email regarding the clinic on Friday evening.

Sundays at WEST – SSCD Rented Lanes

There will be limited lap swim lanes on the following dates from 2:00 – 4:00pm in the afternoon:
