Embark, Explore, Discover, Challenge: NO PRACTICE

Northwest Coaches Clinic - This Saturday 10/19

Our WEST coaching staff has the opportunity to attend a coaches clinic this Saturday & Sunday in Spokane, Washington where other local coaches will be meeting to review, discuss, and learn further swimming techniques from their fellow coaches. Here are the following practice change:

Saturday Practice Change:

Senior & Senior Elite: 6:00 - 8:30am, NO AFTERNOON DOUBLE

Accelerate & Challenge: 8:30 - 10:30am

Embark, Explore, Discover: NO PRACTICE

All PreComp & SwimFit: practice as normal.

Welcome Back Coach Margaret!

WEST welcomes back our favorite developmental coach Margaret this week! Margaret just completed her training to become a certified PADI instructor, which means she can train and certify individuals to be SCUBA certified! 

WEST is proud of Margaret’s accomplishment and is excited to see where she takes her SCUBA skills in the future, as she hops back into coaching our Explore & Embark groups.

Lia Neal Recap

We were so thankful to have Olympian Lia Neal stop by and spend time with our team and precompetitive kiddos this past weekend. While working with the kiddos, she focused on setting goals, overcoming mental and emotional obstacles at swim meets, and relying on consistent technique when it comes to swimming fast on freestyle. We will be cheering her on as she continues to train for Olympic Trials 2020! See our clinic photos we got here on our facebook page!

OFFICIALS NEEDED

If you’re interested in taking an officials class, we have a few coming up close to us! Please RSVP prior with PNS to take a class or contact Aline Benson  or Dan Limberg for more information!

HOSPITALITY NEEDED

Our wonderful hospitality team is looking for a few more spots on their crew. Hospitality is important to helping ensure team events and meets run smoothly - especially as we ramp up for these larger meets in the spring! 

There will be an informational meeting for any interested parents this Saturday at 10am in the WEST gym for any interested parents.
