Hello WEST!

Great job to all of our hard working swimmers who competed this past weekend at Bellingham for Winter Challenge. Our coaches are happy to see technical changes being implemented, but we’re more happy with the sportsmanship that we saw between our swimmers. It’s important to be thankful for the opportunity to race great competitors. Please read for more important weekly news!

Practice Changes: NO PRACTICE CHANGES THIS WEEK.

All programs run at normally scheduled time, including Accelerate & Senior AM Practice on Thursday. 

Senior & Senior Elite WILL have their afternoon double on Saturday. 

Disco Dryland Addition starting this week

Starting Friday, 1/31/2020, Disco will have dryland Friday evenings from 6:00 - 6:30, before they hop in the water at 6:30. This will be part of their normal practice schedule throughout the season.

Travel Meets for the Summer

WEST is happy to announce a couple of travel meets that are being added to our schedule. Please mark your calendars for the following meets:

Pasco: May 29 - 31

Boise Travel Meet / Training Trip: June 18 - 21st

Our Boise travel meet will be intended for swimmers in Challenge, Accelerate, Senior, & Senior Elite and will give these swimmers an opportunity to compete with swimmers outside of our LSC, while giving them formidable competition. There will also be a training component to the Boise meet - more information will be announced in a future email.

Pasco will still be open for our age group swimmers Embark through Accelerate, however, we do encourage Challenge and Accelerate swimmers to prioritize Boise over Pasco if they must choose between the two meets. For any Challenge or Accelerate swimmer has questions, contact your group coach. 

If any senior swimmers are not able to attend Boise, please contact your group coach and we can accomodate on a case by case basis. Meet information will be posted on WEST's Event page as soon as they are available.
