Hello WEST Families,

Great job to all our swimmers that competed at the meet on Bainbridge Island this past weekend! We know the ferry schedule can always throw a monkey wrench in travel plans and we appreciate the turnout of our families that supported one another. Get ready for another delicious serving of WEST cup-o-news-dles:

Boys High School Swim Districts: This Weekend!

Cheer on your local hs boys as they head into Districts this weekend! Several WEST swimmers will be competing in different district championships. This is the last qualifying meet for many of them before they head on to KCAC next weekend for High School State. Good luck and swim fast!

Upcoming Meet: February Divisionals

Declarations have now closed online for Divisionals. Our swimmers use these meets throughout the season to earn cuts for their end of season championship meets, but also gives them great racing opportunities. Don’t miss out on them if you can! Meet information is available here. For any new swimmers to team – we are working to make sure your information is in the system so you can participate at the next meet. Please make sure registration packets are turned into the front office asap.

Meet Declaration Procedure Reminder:

Swimmers must declare which meets they plan to attend using the Meet Declaration feature on the Events page, which will be available to all registered team members. Coaches (and occasionally swimmers) will choose the events in which swimmers will compete. Parents WILL NOT decide which events their swimmer will compete in. Parents MUST Decline prior to declaration deadline. Coaches WILL enter all swimmers who qualify for a meet that are marked as UNDECLARED.

Schedule Changes:

AM practices run as normal. NO Saturday doubles.

*Last Senior AM practice was today. Accelerate will have 2 more AM practices (one this week and one next week.)

Don’t hesitate to reach out to your group coach if you have questions.
