Coronavirus Action Plan
Despite the recent news that a Jackson High student has tested positive, we do not have any indication that anyone in our community has been directly exposed. See our earlier post.
If someone in our community has been or becomes exposed, we will isolate them and those that have had contact. We will then continue to make decisions based on recommendations from Snohomish Health Department and CDC.
As a reminder, the pool is cleaned regularly with chlorine bleach. Doors, counters, locker rooms and weight room are all cleaned daily as standard operating procedure and we are additionally increasing our cleaning efforts along with increasing the chlorine level in the pool as a precaution. Chlorine has been proven to be effective in killing the virus.
If your swimmer has been exposed to someone with a known case, please notify us immediately. The greatest defense we have is each other - if you, or someone in your family is showing symptoms, stay home until tested and cleared by a doctor. Wash hands often and/or use hand sanitizer and don't share drinks / food, cover your cough and sneeze, respect personal space.
If you aren't comfortable sending your swimmer to practice, we understand but are going to do our best to operate as normal as we can, while being cautious and responsible. We will update everyone as this situation continues.
We appreciate your cooperation, support and vigilance.
