Dear Sectionals & Regionals Families

 

We understand that our swimmers are beyond disappointed with the cancellation of Sectionals and Regionals. You all have put in countless hours of hard work in preparation for your championship meet. We are in a situation where we have no control, and we want you to know that your disappointment is shared by your coaches as well. 

 

We are incredibly proud of your dedication and commitment to the sport. Your perseverance is inspiring and has paid off in more ways than what can be defined by a singular meet. It's ok to feel frustrated, disappointed, mad and more with these circumstances. Do not let this impact what you have accomplished.

 

It's a tough way to learn that life isn't fair, especially when you have earned the right to compete at a meet of this level. Remember to look back at the beginning of the season and appreciate how far you have come, not only as a WEST athlete but also as a person.

 

WEST coaching staff is working hard what can be done regarding meet alternatives. We are also doing everything in our power to keep WEST operating during this time. We will keep moving forward together as a team, and will take necessary precautions to ensure safety in our sport & community.
