Good Morning WEST,
June is right around the corner and the weather has been amazing in the Pacific Northwest! Make sure to get outside, wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water (on top of social distancing practices.) We hope to see some more swimming in our immediate future, so read on to see what we’re working on!
WEST Ranked 58th in Top 100 Age Group Programs in USA
Congrats to our strong community for the hard work! This is huge for our program as we are one of only two Pacific Northwest teams (and highest) to be included on this list! Keep up the hard work everyone! Read the full article here.
Olympian Clinic Spring 2020
We have the amazing opportunity to have Toni Armstrong again visit our athletes and parents via Zoom meetings to discuss performance leadership skills. We will also have Olympic Medalist Katie Hoff joining us virtually to chat with our swimmers about her experience in the sport. An email with the call info will be sent out separately to our families, but here is the schedule of meetings:

Open Water Swimming
Make sure you have read our Open Water Guidelines. Anyone not following our instructions or failing to respect social distancing will be asked to leave and not allowed to participate further. Please leave any extra belongings in locked cars as it is not safe to leave on beach unsupervised.
If you are interested, but no spots are available, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We have opened another hour on our spread sheet here.

WEST Duathlon Fundraiser
We are closing in on the end of the month! Make sure to get your last minute exercises in. Winners will be announced the first week of June! As a reminder, a portion of funds raised will go toward Food Lifeline, a non profit organization in our area committed to feeding those impacted by the pandemic.
Reminder - Complete Safe Sport Training!
