WEST Weekly

Tim Senholtz

Good Afternoon WEST,

We are thinking of our entire community during these troubled times and hope everyone remains safe. WEST stands for inclusion and equity. We strive for accountability and fairness and we value honesty, integrity and justice. We love and celebrate the diversity of our community, and look forward to when we can return to what connects us, our shared passion for swimming in a hate free environment.

Olympian Clinic Recap

Thank you to everyone that participated in this past weekend’s clinics! It was an invaluable opportunity to have such great speakers chat with our swimmers and parents. Katie Hoff shared her experiences with growing up with the sport of swimming, preparing for her Olympic debut, and answered as many questions from our kids as possible.

Toni Armstrong discussed leadership and the importance of teamwork in sports with the swimmers, while elaborating the impact that followers can have on an idea with our parents.

If you missed any of the clinics, they are available to be viewed below. We highly recommend everyone to watch at least one of the meetings with Katie Hoff, and the Parent Education Session with Toni Armstrong.

WEST Duathlon Fundraiser Results

Great job to everybody who participated, the total mileage the WEST Community did in May was 5,160.26 miles! An email was sent out with a breakdown of our top winners. We will contact prize winners and how they can pick up their prizes when they come in!

WEST raised $3,675.00 in donations from our community and in turn we have donated 20% of that we raised towards Food Lifeline. We’re proud of our aquatic family for coming together to help provide nutritious food to hungry children, seniors, families, and others in our need in our local community. Amazing job!

Happy Swimming everyone and stay safe.
