Hello WEST,

 

We are well into our last month of practices and we hope everyone is having a great time. We realize that this quarantine has been such an EX – AUGUSTING  change to schedule, so we hope you go out and do an activity that brings you joy, as Marie Kondo would say. Don’t forget to reorganize that closet for the third time :) Read on for this week’s important info!

Season End / Start Dates

The Club Team’s last practice will be Friday 8/28 and Summer Team ends Sunday 8/30. Club Team, Pre-Comp and SwimFit will all plan to start back up Tuesday 9/8. Note: we plan to take a week off between seasons to give the coaching staff and swimmers a quick break.

 

WEST CLOSED 8/31 - 9/7

WEST will be closed Monday, August 31st through Labor Day Weekend. We will reopen Tuesday, September 8th.

Safe Sport Recognized Club

We are excited to share that WEST has achieved USA Swimming’s Safe Sport Club Recognition.  This recognition reflects our commitment to providing a healthy and positive environment free from abuse for all team members. 

 

In order to apply for Safe Sport Club Recognition, we were required to develop and implement club governance measures, Safe Sport policies and reporting mechanisms, Safe Sport best practices as well as training to athletes and parents. These measures were reviewed by USA Swimming Safe Sport staff for approval and will be valid for two years, which we will then be up for renewal.
