Hello WEST Families,

 

The end of October is right around the corner and I for one am excited for the spooky Halloween season! We hope everyone is able to have fun safely and socially distantly this year, and it’s never been a better time than to cozy up with a good movie on the couch on these chilly evenings. Here is what is happening around WEST this week:

 

Halloween Distance Meet: Saturday, October 31st 

An email has been sent out to our Senior, Accelerate & Challenge families for the swimmers that are participating, and will be in one of 3 morning sessions - please check your emails so that you know which session your swimmer is competing in. Volunteer sign ups are also available online right now for our parents.

 

Schedule Changes for this Weekend: 

Saturday, October 31st: 

NO SENIOR or DISCOVER practices due to meet.

Explore practice runs as normal

Lap Swim, Swim Lessons, PreComp & SwimFit will run as normal.

 

Sunday, November 1st:

All Discover & Challenge Swimmers NOT Competing at Distance Meet on Saturday: Practice 10am - 12pm

Embark practice runs as normal

Lap Swim, Swim Lessons, PreComp & SwimFit will run as normal.

 

Gold’s Meet at WEST next Saturday, November 7th.

Due to the swim meet that is hosted at WEST, there will be NO LAP SWIM Saturday, November 7th. WEST swimmers/parents will NOT be participating. All other programs will run as normal.

 

Olympian Clinic with Jordan Wilimovsky - Saturday, November 7th

Our coaching staff is excited to present a private webinar with open water Olympic swimmer Jordan Wilimovsky. He won gold at 2015 World Championships for the 10 km open, thus securing him a spot at the 2016 Olympics. An email will be sent out shortly regarding time slots for our club swimmers with more info, so mark your calendars now!

Be the change you want to see in the world! Participating in elections is one of the key freedoms of American life so make sure your voice is heard this Election Day, November 3rd 2020. Washington State will accept registrations & updates in person as late as November 3rd.
