Covid Case Response
Dear West Community,
We have just received notice that one of our Water Aerobics members has tested positive for Covid. This person last attended class on Tuesday 2/2. Anyone that attended class on either Tuesday 2/2 or Thursday 2/4 are at risk of a potential exposure and should isolate for 14 days and are encouraged to get tested. If anyone else tests positive, please let us know immediately so we can take appropriate action.
We will be suspending Water Aerobics class immediately and for at least 14 days. Our lifeguard is the only other staff member that was potentially exposed and will isolate and obtain a negative Covid test before returning to work. All surfaces have been disinfected repeatedly and the facility has been thoroughly cleaned each day. As a reminder, our Covid protocols are in place to help prevent transmission of the virus when a situation such as this occurs, and at this time we think it to be contained. Should anyone else test positive, we will notify the community and take immediate action to prevent any further spread.
We will continue to be transparent in our communication as we aim to best protect and serve our community. We appreciate everyone's patience and support as we continue to do our best to stay operating safely despite the ongoing pandemic.
