Hello WEST Families,

We hope everyone had a safe snowy weekend! We are defrosting here at WEST and are excited that we have resumed normal operations - here are some of our WEST community folk enjoying the snow :) Read on for this week’s news:

Lap Swim Reservations & Cancellations

We are seeing a growing trend of swimmers not showing for their lap swim reservations. This is disrespectful of not only other lap swimmers that would like to swim (especially at peak times) but also disrespectful to the time put forth by our office manager scheduling these spots out. 

This has become a problem at other pools and we would like to avoid it at WEST. If you cannot make your reservation, please reach out to the front office as early as you can and only book lap swim slots that you are positive you will show up to. Management has been keeping track of who has been regularly abusing this system and we will take further actions if it continues to be a problem.

Double checking your confirmation email can also avoid any issues with scheduling.

If you cannot make your reservation, please reach out to the front office via email as soon as possible even if it is last minute. This helps aid in accurate tracking of contact tracing during the pandemic.

High School Swim Practices - Starts Monday February 22nd

Jackson will begin swimming at WEST from 2:30 - 4:00pm, following all of our facilities reopening guidelines. Senior afternoon practices will move to dryland that will take place both in the gym and outside. Make sure your swimmer wears appropriate clothing and footwear!

Water Aerobics - Restarts on March 2nd

Out of safety, water aerobics restart date will be pushed back to March 2nd following the same guideline as before, at the same day and time slot. 

Job Sign Ups are OPEN for Upcoming Meets

Job sign ups are open for both our February Tri Meet (for swimmers who have obtained a Gold Standard time) and March Intrasquad (Non - Gold Qualifying Swimmers Only.)
