Hello WEST Families,

 

March has been flying by and we are well into our Championship season! Congrats to our Embark, Explore & Discover swimmers that competed this past weekend! Our coaching staff was happy to watch fast swims all around! Good luck to our Challenge, Accelerate, and Senior swimmers that are prepping for their long meet this weekend!

Meet information is available online here. Please double check your volunteer sign ups - If you are unable to make your job sign ups, it is your responsibility to contact Coach Emily as soon as possible so that we can plan accordingly.

 

NOTICE - WEST will no longer provide out plastic bags for masks.

We will no longer be giving out plastic bags for swimmers to store their masks in. The amount of single-use garbage that is going left behind on the pool deck and in the parking lot is unacceptable. We are constantly finding and picking up used bags and disposable masks, in some cases it seems people are removing their masks as they leave the building and simply throwing them on the ground. This not only reflects poorly on our community, but also on how we treat the environment. 

 

Please do your part by helping eliminate excess consumption of single use items: 

1. Use reusable masks. 

2. Throw your trash / recyclables away in an appropriate place. 

3. Bring your own reusable container / bag.

 

With spring here and summer coming, we want the facility and grounds to look the best they can be for you. Running a thin staff, it ends up being your coaches that spend already limited time, picking up your garbage.

Friday 3/26:

Senior, Accelerate & Challenge: At meet (see meet schedule under Events information)

Embark, Explore Disco: NO PRACTICE

 

Saturday 3/27:

Senior, Accelerate & Challenge: At meet. (see meet schedule under Events information)

Explore, Disco: NO PRACTICE

All other programs run as normal.

 

Sunday 3/28:

Senior, Accelerate & Challenge: At meet. (see meet schedule under Events information)

Accelerate, Challenge, Embark: NO PRACTICE

All other programs run as normal.

 

Monday 3/29:

Challenge, Accelerate, Senior: NO PRACTICE

All other groups will meet as normal.
