WEST Covid Reopening Plan

Nick Chevalier

We plan to implement a phased approach as we return to normal operations. With Washington State set to fully reopen on June 30th, we will gradually be relaxing our restrictions for vaccinated individuals. By announcing these changes ahead of time and in phases, we want to give our employees and families the opportunity to get vaccinated prior to the restrictions fully lifting on June 30th. We will continue to encourage mask use beyond June 30th for all at-risk populations and anyone showing possible COVID-19 symptoms. We will not be tracking individual vaccination cards for swimmers but a copy of employee vaccination cards will be kept on file for staff that wish to take advantage of the following allowances.

We will plan to run the previously published summer schedule with programs running adjacent to one another and with limited capacity. We will be incrementally increasing program capacity as we monitor available space and staying within restrictions still in place. We plan to return to complete normal schedule operations (simultaneous swim lessons and swim team practices) at the start of the 2021-22 season.

We will keep our community updated with any developments or changes.

Best,

WEST Coaching Staff
