Coach Kelly Departure

Hi WEST Families,

I would like to let you all know that I will be taking a step away from WEST. I have been working with our staff to ensure a smooth transition. My last day will be Friday, May 28th. I have decided to go back to school and further my education in my hopes to become a school counselor. I need to focus fully on my classes and feel I would not be able to give the level of attentiveness I know is so important at WEST. My decision was a difficult one as ultimately, it was my interactions with the swimmers that helped me find my passion and led me to my career choice for the future. 

Working as coach and office manager has been such an incredible opportunity to learn and grow. I will miss you all very much and will check in from time to time, but I am eager to take this next step.

Thank you to the coaching staff for pushing me to be the best coach I could be. Thank you to West members who have been so kind in our interactions. Thank you to the parents and guardians who put your trust in us to teach your children. Finally, thank you to the swimmers, who have taught me that strength and resilience are possible even in the most trying circumstances. I truly believe they have taught me more than I have them.
