We have just a bit more to get out to announce to everyone regarding the schedule for this weekend. Read on for important information:
WEST Pool Schedule with the Holiday Weekend
WEST will be CLOSED this Saturday & Sunday in observance of the 4th of July. WEST will reopen Monday morning at normal operating hours.
Weekend Practice Schedule
Senior group swimmers will have practice Saturday morning, July 3rd from 7:00 - 10:00am.
All other programs (Accelerate, Challenge, Disco, Explore, Embark, Swim Lessons, Summer Team, & Lap Swim) are cancelled this Saturday and Sunday.
Monday Practice Schedule
Our Senior, Accelerate & Challenge swimmers will have practice OFF Monday morning at Colman. All other groups will meet for their normal practice. Senior groups will have dryland in the afternoon.
COVID-19 Restrictions Relaxed Continued
We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience over this past year regarding COVID-19 protocols. Due to our diligence we were able to keep programs running with minimal disruption. In the entire past year, we had only three instances with a positive case at the pool. Each case could pinpoint their transmission from somewhere else and it never spread within our programs beyond the infected person. The CDC stated early on that pools were not an easily transmittable environment and it's good to see our own experience support that.
As we move forward we want to continue to be cautious and will plan to incrementally move back to more normal operations over the rest of summer. Full normal operations will resume with the start of the 2021-22 season in late August / early September.
Mask Use: masks continue to be required for all unvaccinated individuals and are optional for those who've been vaccinated.
Mask use is strongly encouraged (for vaccinated individuals) during youth programs where children are not yet old enough to be vaccinated. It continues to be mandatory for all unvaccinated individuals.
Spectators during practices: will return with the 2021-2022 season in late August / early September. Lessons are allowed one parent and siblings only to minimize congestion on deck.
Locker Rooms: fully open, shower use for vaccinated individuals only.
One-Way Foot Traffic: only during lessons. Lessons families will continue to wait outside before their class until let in by the lessons supervisor. We will be running classes with only a 2min buffer between. Families entering the building should have swimmers report to their classes before parents find seats. This allows exiting families the opportunity to quickly dress their swimmers and exit through the weight room in a timely manner.
End of Season Dates:
Club Team last practices will be Friday, July 30th. Senior Groups will resume August 23rd, Challenge & Accelerate will resume August 30th, Discover, Explore and Embark will resume September 7th.
Summer Team & Lessons last day will be Sunday, August 22nd. Lessons, PreComp and SwimFit will resume September 7th.
Registration for the fall will be announced in a later email.
