WEST Open Tryouts 2021
Hello!
We have had an interesting year with multiple capacity limitations, but are excited to hold our competitive team open tryouts on Tuesday, August 17th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm. Our coaching staff look forward to meeting these new swimmers and to help them along in their swimming journey!
Please note* This is for any swimmers that are not currently on our year round competitive team or Summer Team
For swimmers looking to transfer from another team: Ensure that your current coach / team has been notified of why you are interested in transferring. WEST strives to maintain a healthy team environment with clear communication with our fellow teams, and will reach out to teams to ensure that transparent communication is upheld.
Hour 1: Swimmers with Competitive Experience 1:00 - 2:00pm. Transfer Swimmers & Swimmers that have prior experience with a team environment. Summer Team, High School, Club, etc. Swimmers should have competency in all 4 competitive strokes, Flip turns, open turns, shallow angle racing start.
Hour 2: Swimmers without Competitive Experience. Any swimmers who DO NOT have competitive swimming experience, but are competent in the 4 competitive strokes. They will be separated into two half hour tryouts:
2:00 - 2:30pm: 12 year olds and younger
2:30 - 3:00pm: 13 year olds and older
