Positive Covid Case at WEST - Mon 1/3 2:15-6:15pm & Tues 1/4 2:15-4:15pm
Dear WEST Community,
We've just been notified that we've had a club team swimmer in our Senior Group test positive for Covid. The swimmer was at WEST Monday 1/3 between 2:15-6:15pm and Tuesday 1/4 between 2:15-4:15pm. Groups with a direct exposure will be shut down for 10 days and adjacent groups with second degree exposure will be shut down for 5 days with everyone asked to monitor for symptoms and get tested. Here is a breakdown by group:
Jackson HS Team: resume Mon 1/18
Club Team Senior Group: resume Sat 1/15
Club Team Accelerate Group: resume Mon 1/10
M/W Lessons (all times): resume Mon 1/10
T/Th Lessons (4pm class only): resume Tues 1/11
Pre-Comp: coach exposed, TBD
SwimFit: coach exposed, TBD
Club Team Embark: coach exposed, TBD
Club Team Explore: coach exposed, TBD
Club Team Discover: coach exposed, TBD
Club Team Challenge: unaffected
Lap Swim: unaffected
Water Aerobics: unaffected
With most of our core staff members exposed, we will be doing our best to continue to practice either through virtual workouts or by rearranging schedules. We are working on staff schedules and will send out more information tomorrow. If you are in one of the affected groups, please consider yourself exposed and take the necessary precautions - monitor for symptoms, isolate if necessary and get tested as soon as possible.
