Positive Covid Case at WEST - Saturday 1/15 1:15 - 2:00pm

Attention WEST Community,

There has been a report of a confirmed positive COVID case in our T/TH PreComp Group and in our afternoon group Lessons. These PreComp swimmers were last at the pool on Saturday 1/15 between from 1:15 - 2:00pm, and in our Wednesday evening lessons. Per the CDC’s release of updated COVID Protocols, we will be taking the following action:

The PreComp 2 Group will be shut down for 5 days from the exposure and will return Saturday 1/22 for PreComp 2. Other groups and programs running at the same time will continue to operate as normal. Anyone potentially exposed should monitor for symptoms for 10 days. 

Additionally, we will need to cancel Monday and Tuesday afternoon swim lessons and Monday 1/17 PreComp 1 practice. Morning lessons will continue as scheduled. All swimmers will be credited back to their WEST account for the cancelled classes. Swim Lessons will resume on Wednesday, January 19th, unless notified otherwise.

Anyone that develops COVID symptoms must quarantine for 5 days from the onset of symptoms. This applies to everyone at any time, regardless of exposure. We recommend getting tested after 5 days. 

Anyone that tests positive for Covid must quarantine for 10 days from the onset of symptoms or the date of test if asymptomatic.
