Positive Covid Case at WEST: PreComp 2 - Sat 2/5 1:15 - 2:00pm

Attention WEST Community, 

We had a COVID exposure reported at WEST during the PreComp 2 practice this past Saturday 2/5/22.

Swimmers in PreComp 2 that were at the pool between 1:15pm-2:00pm should isolate and monitor for symptoms for 5 days of the exposure and may return to practice on Saturday 2/12. PreComp 2 practice is canceled tomorrow, Thursday 2/10.

Symptoms Reminder: we are seeing in multiple cases the onset of mild symptoms starting while continuing to test negative for 2-3 days. If you experience symptoms coming on (scratchy throat, runny nose, head and body aches, etc) you need to stay out for 5 days. We recommend waiting at least 3 days before getting tested to confirm whether you may have COVID, since you could test negative initially and still be infected. If your symptoms have improved and you do not test positive, you may return to the pool after day 5.
