Positive Covid Case - Saturday 4/23 @ 1:15 - 2:00pm & Thursday 4/28 @ 6:45 - 8:15pm

Dear WEST Community,

We've been notified that we had another club team swimmer in our Discover Group test positive for Covid. The swimmer was at WEST yesterday 4/28 between 6:45-8:15pm. Being the second case now, we are going to cancel Discover practice for today. 

We have also been notified about a PreComp swimmer who tested positive on Sunday 4/24 and last attended practice on Saturday 4/23 1-2pm. We do not plan to cancel PreComp practice at this time but encourage all swimmers in PreComp to closely watch for symptoms and take necessary precautions.

Regarding the swim meet this weekend, we will trust families to monitor their swimmers (especially those in Discover Group) and stay home if displaying symptoms or concerned about their exposure. We encourage any of the exposed swimmers to get tested. 

As a reminder, anyone with a confirmed Covid case needs to stay out of the water (where they are unable to be masked) for 10 days since the onset of symptoms or date of Covid test if asymptomatic.
