Locker Room Safety Reminder

Hello WEST!

 

This is a reminder of the rules and regulations WEST has in place to keep everyone safe. 

 

DECK CHANGING  is against USA Swimming SafeSport & WEST’s Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy  and will not be tolerated. Changing clothes / swimsuits must be done in locker rooms or the family changing curtains located at the far end of the deck. 

 

Lock Valuables: 

WEST encourages our community to bring locks with them to use while they swim. Valuables & personal items should be locked safely away in a locker, not out in the open. WEST is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Lockers are for day use only. If you wish to rent a locker for $10/month, please contact [email protected]. 

 

Locker Room Etiquette:  

  1. Children 5 years old and under  may accompany parents or guardians into the locker room of their parent's gender, regardless of the child's gender, for changing assistance. 

  2. Children over 6 years of age and older MUST use their assigned gender locker room to shower and change. We also have family changing areas at the end of the pool deck if this makes you more comfortable. 

  3. Cell Phone usage in the locker rooms is against WEST’s policy  and will not be tolerated, parents need to actively assist their child - not be on their phones. This is enforced for the protection of all WEST patrons. 

  4. The locker room is NOT a place to hang out. Please be mindful of usage, especially when it is busy.

 

If you see any suspicious activity, report it immediately to WEST Staff.
