Tip of The Week:

As the days get warmer, it becomes even more important for swimmers to stay hydrated. Read more information in Swimming World Magazine, which included these tips: “A common rule of thumb that’s often stated for remaining hydrated is to take one’s body weight, divide it by two, and drink that much water in ouncesIt is recommended that swimmers drink at least 16 fluid ounces of water two hours prior to working out and to consistently rehydrate during the workout to avoid any fatigue that could come from dehydration. Swimmers are also encouraged to hydrate following workouts to replenish any lost fluids and to promote recovery of muscles.”

LCM Training Opportunities:

We secured LCM times starting June 11th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:30 - 9:30 a.m. at Contra Costa Community College and will share the pool with our friends from Albany Armada Aquatics.

Platinum swimmers with Senior 2 times can attend all sessions without having to register beforehand. They can then choose to take either Sunday or Monday off, but they cannot miss any other practices.

We are also offering limited LCM practice opportunities to the rest of the team. Space is limited to 15 swimmers per session, and you must register on our websiteto participate on the day and time allocated to your swimmers group. Register your swimmer under ‘Job Sign Up’ and put their name into the note section.

Reno Gamble Age Group Meet:

The rooms at the Grand Sierra Resort being held for PST at the block room rate have been fully reserved. There is still availability at the hotel through the general reservation system that can be accessed via their website at or by calling 1 800 501-2651.

Although we hope the team can stay in the same hotel, we understand that families have different preferences when traveling. Fortunately there are many hotels in Reno that are a short distance from the Grand Sierra that can accommodate families' various needs.

The Reno 2024 meet sheet was released and we can confirm that swimmers who are 13 yrs and older will need to be at the pool by 7:30am on Friday June 21st for warm ups. Swimmers who are 12 yrs and under will need to be at the pool by 1:00pm for warm ups. Please plan accordingly.

A place to sell, exchange or give away swim items. Email submissions to [email protected] by Saturday night to be included in the weekly newsletter.
