New Code of Conduct Adopted by CASL

Melinda Martin

CASL has adopted a new Code of Conduct for all parents/guardians, swimmers, coaches and parent reps of the Central Arkansas Swim League, of which Saline County Barracudas are a member.  It is similar to the Code of Conduct you agreed to when you registered your swimmer(s) this season, but we want you to be aware of it.  Please take a moment to look it over and become familiar with it.  Ignorance of the Code of Conduct will not prevent repercussions for violations of the code.  You can also click on the title to download a copy of the document.

CASL Code of Conduct

As a Coach or Parent Rep of CASL I agree to:
● Help my swimmers meet team and league expectations for conduct, sportsmanship, and
commitments
● Encourage my swimmers towards improvement both in and out of the water and to be
supportive of each other as teammates and competitors
● Be respectful of all coaches, parents and league officials
● Promote and model appropriate behavior in regards to sportsmanship, language, and
respect for host team’s facilities and equipment
● Address concerns during meets with respect and care and with the wellbeing of all
swimmer’s foremost in mind
● Acknowledge that it is solely the responsibility of meet and league officials to determine
disqualification of a swimmer for any and all infractions (including but not limited to
stroke and turn, false start, and personal conduct and behavior)
● Follow all league rules regarding age and ability divisions when creating meet rosters
● Acknowledge that CASL is a recreational summer league intended as a fun introduction
to competitive swimming for new swimmers and a fun way to improve skills for returning
swimmers
● Understand that violation of this code of conduct may result in my removal from the meet
