BAM News: PNA Champs Results, Fat Salmon, and Future Meets

Bainbridge Aquatic Masters

Happy Wednesday, BAM!

Congratulations to all the BAMmers who swam at PNA Champs over the weekend! April sent out the details yesterday so I won’t repeat them here, but way to go team!

News for the week:

  • The days are getting longer and warmer… there are rumors of swims in Wildcat Lake… open water swim season is upon us! And that means it’s time to think about signing up for Fat Salmon! This year’s 3.2 mile Lake Washington swim will be held on Saturday 27th. Registration opens on Wednesday, May 1st, and if the usual patterns hold it will fill quickly and registration will close later that same day. Mark your calendar if you’re interested in swimming!
  • No meets in the immediate future, but looking forward to summer we have the USMS Spring SCY Nationals, June 20-24 in Indianapolis; the PNA LCM meet, July 6-7 at the King County Aquatic Center; and the USMS Summer LCM Nationals, August 21-25 in Mission Viejo, CA.
  • A reminder that those who want to keep abreast of the Ray Pool Rehabilitation Project: visit the Current Projects page of the Park Districts website and click on the “+” next to “Ray Williamson Pool Rehabilitation”. Or you can attend the Park District Board meeting (in person or via Zoom) tomorrow, April 18, at 6p.

See you at the pool!
