BAM News: BAM Gnome, BAM Apparel, and Video
Happy Wednesday, BAM!
A hitherto undocumented BAMmer has been photographed in the wild – sporting a cap, goggles, and fins, and carrying an inner tube for safety, he’s ready to jump in the sound for an open-water swim! Check out the photo in the SignUpGenius.
(Thank you, BAM Angels.)
News for the week:
- Fat Salmon also still has openings, but I would warn against waiting until the last minute to sign up. Another forty spots have filled since last week.
- The BAM Boosters still have some shirts and sweatshirts for sale.
- Men’s crew neck short-sleeve shirts in Large and Medium ($22);
- Women’s v-neck shirts in Large, Medium, and Small ($22); and
- Unisex hoodies in Large and Medium ($37).
- I get many compliments on my shirt from BAMmers and non-BAMmers alike – get yours while supplies last! To make a purchase, put your payment and a note indicating what item you’d like to buy (including size) in an envelope, and put the envelope in the blue BAM box in the pool lobby – ask a the front desk if you need help finding the box. (You can see both the shirt and hoodie in the attached photo.)
- BAM swimmer Jessica Dubey, a member of the “Pro” committee commissioned by the Park District to communicate to the public the benefits of an expanded Ray pool, is creating a short video to help support the bond measure. The video will accompany a statement in the voter guide and may be used in other publicity materials in getting out the vote. She will be filming at a practice in the near future and will need releases signed by anyone included in the video; releases will be available the day of filming. Participation is optional and filming will occur without focusing in on individual swimmers in the pool. For questions please contact Jessica at [email protected].
See you at the pool!
Tamara
