BAM Breaking News: Madison Avenue Traffic Report

Forgive this irregular Monday email, but I thought I’d share some developments on a topic that is near and dear to all of us: the Madison Ave Bundled Project. Good news – if all goes according to plan, paving starts tonight! You can find more detailed information on the City’s project web page, but here’s a summary.

• Monday , Nov 4: Paving starts at 6p; from New Brooklyn to Kimiko Lane (across from Ordway). Note: this section of Madison will be partially closed until 6a. Swimmers arriving for the 5:15a practice should drive from the south (High School Road/Madison Ave roundabout), and/or leave extra time.
• Tuesday, Nov 5: Paving starts at 9p; from Kimiko Lane through the Roundabout. The pool will close early Tuesday evening so that all patrons and staff can leave before the road is closed.
• Wednesday, Nov 6: Nighttime paving between Winslow Way and Wyatt Way.
• Thursday, Nov. 7: Nighttime paving between Wyatt Way and High School Road.
• Friday, Nov. 8: Nighttime work on raised crosswalks between Kimiko Lane and Sakai Park.
