BAM News: Sunday Schedule Changes, 50m Time Trial?, and Register for Summer Nationals

Bainbridge Aquatic Masters
Happy Wednesday, BAM!

Say it together, BAM: I’m an IM’er!
This week has featured many opportunities to put last week’s breaststroke skill building to work.

News for the week:
  • Schedule change #1: the 3p practice for this Sunday, May 18, has been cancelled. But all is not lost! The 4:15 practice will run per normal, so you can still practice at Olympic High School this Sunday. (I highly recommend it – it’s a fun practice.)
  • Schedule change #2: There will be no practices on Memorial Day (Monday, May 26).
  • PNA is considering hosting time trials at KCAC on Saturday, July 5, or Sunday, July 6 so swimmers can get practice swimming in a 50m pool, and potentially achieve qualifying times for the USMS Summer Nationals. This would not be an official meet (no starter, touch pads, electronic timing, etc). Please help them to see if there is enough interest by completing this survey by next Wednesday, May 21. (Note: you can swim up to three events at nationals without a qualifying time, excepting the 1500m.)
  • Registration for Summer Nationals is open! This is a “home” meet – hosted by PNA at the King County Aquatic Center (KCAC) in Federal Way. If you ever wanted the thrill of being able to say “I’m swimming at Nationals!”, this is your opportunity.

See you at the pools.
