BAM News: No Practice Friday & Sunday, Parade, and Timers Needed for Nationals

No practice on Friday, July 4. The pool will be closed for the holiday.

No practice on Sunday, July 6, because coaches and swimmers will be at the 50m Time Trial at KCAC.

But don’t be sad about missing practice – represent the Aquatic community in the parade, instead! The Park District (BIMPRD) is celebrating 60 years of operating in the Bainbridge Island community. Part of the celebration is being at the beginning of the July 4th parade! They are looking for at least 5 more Aquatic participants to walk the parade and represent! Because the Aquatic Center was opened in the 1970s, all Aquatic participants are encouraged to dress in 1970s garb. A big “Thank You” to the eleven BAMmers (and family members) who have signed up to time at Summer Nationals! We need nine more volunteers for Wednesday, August 6, from 11:15 to 4:00. No prior experience required!

Save the date: The BAM Boosters will host a Summer Picnic and Pool Party on Sunday, August 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 at the Bainbridge Island Recreation Center (BIRC). Look for an invitation in your inbox in the near future. BAMmers, friends, and family are welcome!
