Registration for the Pumpkin 500 should open in the next day or two… and it will close just a few days later on October 14. Keep your eyes open for the email if you want to swim!
What is the Pumpkin 500? It’s a challenge to step out of your comfort zone and swim an event that you might normally avoid. BISC and BAM swimmers get together and swim 500 Free (or back, or breast, or, on one memorable occasion, fly). All the swimmers are mixed together and seeded by time, so it’s entirely possible to see a heat with both a seven-year-old and a seventy-year-old. It’s also a great way to support BISC and our future teammates!
One thing to know: due to USA Swimming rules, the locker rooms will be reserved for youth swimmers (17 and under) only. Anyone over the age of 17 will be required to use the family changing rooms.

Thank you to the many, many BAMmers who have already volunteered for BAMFest – the majority of our volunteer slots have been filled. There are still a few openings, though, so if you have the time and inclination please sign up!
