Parade Time - It's Champs Week!

Angela Crist

Let's talk Champs Parade.

If you're anything like me, during our first year of summer swim, you might be thinking, "Parade? I thought this was a swim meet?"
And indeed, good reader, it is a swim meet, one of epic youth swimming proportions.
And, part of that experience is a parade.
Think Olympic Parade of Nations, but kid-sized, adorable, and hilarious.
On the Friday morning of Champs, each of the eight WOAL - Western Ohio Aquatics League teams will enter the pool area with music and sporting their theme to the cheers of all the attendees.
We encourage everyone to join in the fun and participate in the Parade. Costumes are not required and do not need to be extravagant, but getting into the theme adds to the fun of the Champs experience. If you have questions, ask your swimmer's coach or a Board member.
