First Day of Practice Monday May 12th

Dear Sharks!!

The 2025 season officially starts this coming Monday (5/12)!! Practice this week is as follows:

Monday - Friday

• 8-unders: 5:30-6:30 pm
• 9 & overs: 6:30-7:30 pm

As a reminder, all CHCCR practices require attendance of at least one parent or responsible adult (19 years old or older) for each swimmer age 8 and under – this is in accordance with the CHCC requirements for safety.

There will be NO practice Friday (5/23) and Monday (5/26) due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Pre-Season SWIM TEST: If you are new to swim team your child MUST pass a pre-season swim test before participating in swim team practice. Swim tests will be held on the following dates:

• Week of May 12th: Monday-Thursday from 5:15-6:30pm
• Week of May 19th: Monday-Thursday from 5:15-6:30pm

The swim test is ONE LENGTH of the pool, unassisted, without stopping on the side of pool or lane lines. Any stroke counts - even dog paddle! And you can try as many times as you want.

Extra Shark Swag: To help get ready for the season, you can order some extra Shark swag!! Each swimmer will get a Shark shirt and latex swim cap with their registration fee but if you would like to order extra shirts for your swimmer or family members, please fill out the extra swag form that can be found here. Also, back by popular demand is the team visor, and new this year is a women’s racerback tank for those hot summer days!! Please place your orders by May 11^th.

Team Suit: While you do not have to purchase a team suit to swim for the CHCCR Sharks, many children enjoy having a team suit. The League rule is that in meets, you cannot wear a suit or cap with the name of another team or league on it. This summer we have one design for females (we just learned that one of our options has been discontinued for years and they are now out of inventory) and two different design options available for males. Details on how to order suits can be found here on our team website. The suit with the swimming sharks takes a few weeks to arrive once ordered.

Age Group Kick Off Night. A few Shark families have graciously offered to host this event at their homes. We're hoping this event will connect our new and returning swimmers and get them excited for an active and fun summer. If you have not received an invitation for an event please let us know and we will connect you with the host family.
