Hi Sharks,

Great to see so many Sharks at the Color Olympics and sorry for the short older kids practice. Hopefully this rain will cool down the pool a bit.

This Saturday we are swimming H3AC at their pool. Our schedule is as follows:

Arrival Times:

• 8:00am Chaperones
• 8:10am Swimmers
• 8:30am Warmups
• 8:30am All other volunteers arrive
• 8:40am Timers & Judges Huddle at scorer table
• 9:00am Meet start!

Reminder, for 10 and under Sharks, please check your children in with the parent chaperone’s, do not just “drop” them off. This is important to ensure that all kids get checked-in for the meet. Also, you must stay on the deck during the meets. All meets require attendance of at least one parent or responsible adult (19 years old or older) for swimmers age 10 and under.

Speed Limit
The neighborhood speed limit is 25 mph.  We recommend you go MUCH SLOWER than that.  Kids ride their bikes all over the neighborhood, turns have limited visibility, and there are no sidewalks.  

Swimmer Drop-Off
The main parking lot on Yorktown Dr. fills up early. However, you can still drop your swimmer off at this main entrance and find more parking in our back lot.  Do not park across from the main pool entrance.

Parking Reminder
Parking is ONLY allowed in the pool lot, in the overflow/tennis lot (behind the pool, or on some of the neighborhood streets. Please obey the NO PARKING signs and ONLY park on the pool side of the street (but DO NOT block the entrance). DO NOT PARK ACROSS THE STREET FROM THE POOL ENTRANCE.  Please do not park two cars-wide on neighborhood streets, as this causes visibility and safety concerns.

Location of Visiting Team
The visiting team will be based in the kiddie pool area.  There is a small pavilion for shade. We will have our 2 canopies set up as well.  Kids are not allowed to swim in the kiddie pool during swim meets.  

Snack Bar
There will be a snack bar menu available during the swim meet if you want to send cash/credit with your swimmers. Volunteers will be provided with cold water throughout the meet.  

Remember we have Sharks at the Movies at 4pm on Saturday. The event is at the Carolina Theater and we will be showing “how to train your dragon”. Cost is $11 which provides a small popcorn and drink. Please sign up like you declare for a meet and make a note of how many parents will be there.

• Lost and Found from the meet against Exchange has now been put in the life-guard office (there are two Shark T-shirts (Youth S and Youth M)
