Head Coach - Allison Zeller
I am so excited to be coaching at Greenbriar this summer! Swimming has been a part of my life for many years. I started off on my summer league team, Big Bend Woods, when I was just 4 years old. I swam for Parkway swim club starting at age 9 throughout my high school career and a few summers during college. I attended Parkway South High School where I played varsity basketball and swam for 4 years. I attended Missouri State University on a full swimming scholarship and had great success as a college athlete. I was nominated as a member of the Missouri Valley All Conference first team selection each of the four years I swam. My specialty events were the 100 and 200 backstroke and my third event in college was the 50 freestyle.
During the school year I teach elementary school Physical Education. I have been teaching in the Parkway School District at Hanna Woods Elementary for the past 7 years. Next year I am excited to start at a new school, Pierremont Elementary. I currently am the head swim coach at Parkway West High School and have been there for 5 years. While at West our team has experienced great success. The girls have placed 1st and 2nd at state and we have had a state champion 4 out of the 5 years. The boys team has been improving each season and placed 7th at state this past year, the highest placing since the early 90s. In 2011, I was honored to receive the Coach of the Year Award by the National Federation of High School Coaches Association.
I currently live in Kirkwood, MO with my husband Todd and two dogs, Pud (French Bulldog) and Sadie (Beagle). Todd was the heads mens soccer coach at Maryville University for the past 8 years and recently changed professions and is working for NCSA, a college athletic recruiting service. We are happy to announce that we will be expecting our first child this October
