| ÿWelcome to our 1st Edition of THE STINGRAY SPLASH newsletter where we will relay important Team news, deadline reminders, upcoming events and anything else relevant!
ÿTIME TRIALS
Our first meet is in the books and the swimmers did awesome! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped yesterday! We know it was a learning process for some of you and we appreciate you trying something new to support the Team.
For Swimmers who missed the meet,
coaches will get their times in practice on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week. If you would like to be considered for the next ‘A’ meet, please have your swimmer get times in at least one of these practices!
We need volunteers to help record times at each practice, the Job Signup is on the website under the Event.
A couple meet takeaways:
- If you signed up to work a job, please stay until that job is complete regardless if your swimmer is done for the day, unless you find another volunteer to take it over. Please see the Volunteer Coordinator if you need to leave and can’t find someone else to step in.
- Parents/Spectators who are not volunteering should not be hanging out in the Team Area. It is distracting to the swimmers, coaches, and volunteers working that area. The Spectator area is on the clubhouse side of the pool.
‘A’ MEET — this Sat morning June 17
We dive straight into the CSL Red Division schedule with our first ‘A’ meet against the Franklin Farm Froggers at their Still Pond pool. The coaches will select the swimmers and the Meet Sheet will be sent out early
afternoon on Friday. In order to select swimmers, we need to know who is available on Saturday.
PLEASE DECLARE YOUR SWIMMERS ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ ON THE WEBSITE NOW.
Declaration
Deadline is Wed June 14. Make sure to sign up to volunteer at the meet if your swimmer is selected!
T-SHIRTS will be distributed at
Wed-Fri practices this week
. We need distribution help and
there is a Job Signup on the website under the Event.
TEAM SOCIAL EVENT — this Friday evening June 16
Bilstad’s Beignets Food Truck will be available for purchase in the parking lot
starting at 5pm and BINGO (with prizes!) will begin
at 6pm. Please bring a marker or bingo dauber to mark your cards. We still need a few volunteers to help run this event, the Job Signup is on the website under the Event.
OTHER VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
-Folder Manager (create family folders in the clubhouse file box so ribbons and other items can be placed)
-Banquet Coordinator (organize our
July 22 Team Banquet at the pool)
-Team Awards (coordinate and order Banquet awards from Cassels)

This is the last week of afternoon practices and then we move to mornings on the 19th. It is also the last week of school for FCPS. We wish everyone a fun and safe end, to what we hope was, an amazing school year!
