B MEET RECAP VS GLEN COVE PIRATES - JUNE 21
The first official day of summer did not start so summery and while we got some much needed rain, it was not ideal weather for an outdoor swim meet. Still, our kids persevered and we were able to get the Freestyle and Backstroke in before we had to stop the meet. Kudos to everyone who braved the weather and many swimmers even dropped time!
A MEET RECAP @ BURKE CENTRE PENGUINS - JUNE 24
The clouds finally parted
on Saturday morning and the meet went on as scheduled. On paper, the prediction was not favorable for us with a 150 point difference. However, our swimmers stepped it up in their fast pool and while we did still lose the meet, it was only a 52 pt difference (251 - 199) with 58 time improvements seen by our swimmers!
TEAM RECORDS
Brace yourselves for more falling records, this may be an exciting refrain throughout the season.
Emma Cigna bested her 15-18 50M Girls Backstroke record set just 2 weeks ago with a new time of 32.43.
Yaron Li again bested his 13-14 50M Boys Freestyle record set just last week with a new time of 25.40.
Jason Xin broke an 11 year old 13-14 50M Boys Fly record with a new time of 27.90.
The 13-14 Boys 200M Medley Relay (Kyle Gadsby, Jason Xin, Yaron Li, Noah Sharabi)proved they still have a lot of gas left in the tank and broke their record from last week with a new time of 2:00.90. This means they broke their own CSL Record as well!
Congrats to all these amazing swimmers!
