 B MEET VS ASHBURN VILLAGE RECAP
This reporter was out on vacation this past week so I have nothing to report other than I heard it was hot, everyone swam fast, and we made Bank on Concessions sales! I hope all the Stingray swimmers had a lot of fun! 
 
 
A MEET VS ASHBURN FARM RECAP
This reporter is very sad that she missed this meet because when it was over we got to say “WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!” With the victory over Ashburn Farm, we became the 2024 WHITE DIVISION CHAMPIONS, regardless what happens next week because we have won all the head to head contests with any other team that could tie our overall record. This is a crazy and well-earned feat considering we went 0-5 in the Red Division last season AND were predicted on paper to lose this meet. The Barracudas were the reigning White Division Champs from last season.  CONGRATS STINGRAYS! 
 
 
RECORD BREAKERS
Two (2) team relay records were broken at Saturday’s meet!
 
The Boys 200M Mixed Age Free Relay (Jake Sim, Jordan Stephenson, Noah Sharabi, Yaron Li) broke the record set just last week with a new time of 1:59.12.
 
The Boys 15-18 200M Medley Relay (Kyle Gadsby, Logan Earle, Jason Xin, Yaron Li) shattered a 6 yr old record with a new time of 1:53.68.

UPCOMING IM TOUGH MEET 7/8 
Monday 7/8 is the IM Tough Meet at Chantilly Highlands. Our Team Area is on the grass between the parking lot and the playground. 
 
10 & Under Session begins at 6pm and Swimmers need to arrive by 5:05pm to be ready for our scheduled 5:20pm warmup. 
**We still need a Lane Timer and a Team Area Volunteer for this Session! We do not want to scratch swimmers due to a lack of volunteers** 
 
11 & Over Session begins at 8pm and Swimmers need to arrive by 7:15pm to be ready for our 7:40pm warmup. 
**We still need a Computer Asst Volunteer for this Session! You will be sitting in the A/C in the Clubhouse helping to record times. We do not want to scratch swimmers due to a lack of volunteers**
 
 
UPCOMING TEAM SOCIALS
Tuesday 7/9 Movie Morning - See Despicable Me 4 with the Team @ University Mall Theatre in Fairfax.  Movie starts at 10:30am and is $10/person (includes popcorn & drink). 
 
Friday 7/12 Stingrays Got Talent - Join us Friday evening at the Pool @ 6pm for our Annual Swimmer Talent Show! There will be a signup sheet in the Clubhouse this week. Dancing, Singing, Instrument Playing, Joke Telling, Magic Tricks, Gymnastics, and everything else in between is welcome! If your swimmer has a talent out of the pool, we want to see it!
 
 
TEAM PICTURES 7/10
On Wednesday we will have Team Pictures. Every swimmer and coach should come to the Pool by 7:15am and wear their team suit or Coaches shirt (or another black/purple suit). Order forms will be available that morning so be prepared to order and pay on Wednesday. Individual, Team, and Sibling photos can be ordered.
 
 
UPCOMING B MEET @ FRANKLIN GLEN 7/10
On Wednesday, it’s just a hop, skip, and a jump on over to the Franklin Glen Pool to swim with the Gators for our LAST B Meet of the season. It may be the last chance for many swimmers to see how they have improved over the course of the season, so come on out! The Gators are also hosting a mobile blood drive in their parking lot that evening. If this interests you, signup here to help Save A Life!
Meet Declaration Deadline is 11:59pm Mon 7/8. Pick 2 strokes only, or 2 strokes and IM.
 
 
UPCOMING A MEET @ CHANTILLY HIGHLANDS 7/13
Our last Dual Meet of the season is on Saturday morning as we take on the neighboring Dolphins. It will be Purple Pandemonium as we try to make it an Undefeated Stingray Season. The Dolphins even have the same exact team suit that we do, Twinsies! 
The Declaration Deadline is 11:59pm Weds 7/10
 
 
UPCOMING RELAY CARNIVAL 7/14
On Sunday we head to Sugarland Run to compete in the CSL Relay Championships. This meet is always a lot of fun and is all about teamwork!
