Time Standards

2023 TIME STANDARDS

What are Time Standards?

Normally, a recreational swim season will end with Time Trials and Finals.  In order to participate in the Time Trials meet, your swimmer must swim his/her event(s) with a time matching or faster than the listed time standards.  The time standards change depending upon the event, the swimmers age and gender. The Time Standards are being used to determine which swimmers are eligible to swim in this inviational meet.

How do I know if my swimmer qualifies?

The easiest way to determine if your swimmer has qualified for events is to check the ribbons from each of the meets your swimmer has already participated in.  If the letters QLFY are printed on the ribbon, your child has qualified to swim that event.  Another way to check qualifying times is to look at the results pages from the different meets (click the button on the website called "2023 Results"), find your swimmer's times and compare these to the Time Standards.  If your swimmer's times are the same or faster than the times listed, they have qualified.
