2025 Swim Season: Registration is Open

Hi Glen Gators,

As the temperature gets warmer, it is time to start thinking about summer swimming. Registration for the 2025 Glen Swim Team is open. 

Mark your calendars:

  • April 28th Kick-off Meeting, Farmington High School Media Center, 2025 Totem will be announced
  • May 12th: First Day of Practice
  • July 12th Euchre Tournament with a silent Auction.  More info to come.

The rest of the schedule can be found here.  Meets and Events, as well as volunteer sign-up, will be available on the website by April 28th.

We are maintaining the fee of $175 per swimmer with 8 volunteer hours and a contribution to the euchre tournament for this season.  The Euchre tournament this year will be in place of the previous years' golf outing.

Open Volunteer Positions:  If you are interested in filling any of these roles or have questions, please email me.

  • Marshalling Chair: With the help of other volunteers, help eight-and-under swimmers line up for the proper events and heats. This position is at all home and away meets.
  • Concessions Committee:  Looking for 1-2 people to join the concessions team. Work as a team to order, pick-up, and set up concessions for all home meets.  Work with the swim chair to set prices and menu for meet concessions.  Coordinate with the grilling team for hot foods.  Organize volunteers throughout the meet to sell concessions. Collect money and turn into swim chair or treasurer. 
  • Spirit Breakfast Chair: Organize a team spirit breakfast the Friday before B finals at the end of practice.  The meal can be catered or cooked by the grill team. Must be able to attend the breakfast to coordinate volunteers.
  • Fundraising Committee: Looking for a few people to assist with planning and running this year's Euchre Tournament on July 12th.

 

We also have some volunteer positions that parents of seniors currently hold.  We will be looking for people to take over these positions for the 2026 season.  This is a good season to shadow the current person.   

  • Gator-A-thon: Organize a fun Gator-a-thon event and prepare donation forms and collection envelopes.  Organize prizes for levels of donations and top earners.  Work with the Swim Chair to collect earnings.  Order and bring bagels and juice.
  • Timing Chair: Work with the official to run the timer’s meeting before the start of the meet.  Maintain timing equipment and assist with set up before the start of the meet.  Run the backup watch during the meet and assist timers with any issues that arise.
