Mid-week Glen Swim Team Update
Hi Glenns,
Just a quick mid-week update before the holiday weekend, there is lots of info so please take some time to read the entire update.
Tomorrow, Thursday July 3rd is our fun holiday themed Firecracker practice, practice times are as usual. There is no practice Friday July 4th and Saturday July 5th. I hope everyone enjoys their holiday weekend.
Before you leave on vacation please make sure you have made your meet declarations for the upcoming meets and events. See the list below in upcoming dates.
Note the deadline for the Euchre tournament sign-up was yesterday Tuesday July 1st. As part of our volunteer requirement every family needs to support the Euchre tournament in some way, volunteer, donate, or play. (Failure to do so will result in the full volunteer fee being added to your account ($150)) Please reach out to Emily Whitmore, Karen Demott or myself with questions.
Also added to the calendar is the Glen Swim Team Late night. July 11th from 10 pm until midnight we will be holding the Glen Swim team late night. Come join us for fun relays, games and food. This is only open to swim team members and we request that children under 10 have a parent present.
After the 4th things will come fast so here are all the Upcoming dates.
- No Practice July 4th and 5th. Fun Firecracker Practice on Thursday, July 3rd.
- Monday, July 7th: Home Meet vs Beachwood (Decline by Thursday, July 3rd)
- Thursday, July 10th, Away Meet at Forest Hills (Decline by Monday, July 7th)
- Friday July 11th Glen Swim Team Late Night (RSVP by Thursday July 10th)
- Saturday July 12th Euchre Tournament (all donations and sign-ups are due ASAP)
- Friday, July 18th Spirit Breakfast (RSVP by July 14th)
- B Finals July 19th (Decline ASAP)
- A Finals July 26th and 27th (Decline ASAP)

First Glen Swim Team Euchre Tournament
Sign-up Deadline and Donations were due Tuesday, July 1st. Emily will be at practice on Thursday to accept donations.
We need players, volunteers, and donations to make this event a success.
Date: Saturday, July 12, 2025
This family-friendly event offers multiple ways to get involved:
- Play Euchre! Uno tables will be available for the kiddos.
- Enjoy a delicious dinner!
- Bid on fantastic items in our silent auction!

Home Meet vs Beachwood (Monday July 7th) SENIOR NIGHT
If you cannot attend, decline by Thursday, July 3rd
We still need a few volunteers for this meet.
Parking:
- Please carpool if possible and leave the main Glen lot for our guests.
- You can park behind the Total Sports Building (do not park on the grass), also behind LOC and at the Huron River Club.
Report Time is 3:30 PM
Meet Start time is 5:30 PM
Away Meet at Forest Hills (The big one)
If you cannot attend, please decline by July 7th
We need Volunteers for this meet.

Glen Swim Team Late Night
We will be holding a late night event on Friday July 11th. Please RSVP by Thursday July 10th.
- Swimmers under the age of 10 must have a parent or responsible adult with them.
- This event is limited to swim team families only, anyone not on the team will be asked to leave when the pool closes at 10:00 PM, feel free to come before 10 PM as the pool will be open
- The event will include fun relays and games for the kids to play.
- We will have food around 10:30 PM
- Everyone must leave the pool grounds at 11:55 PM.
Upcoming Events
The Spirit breakfast is Friday, July 18th
- We will serve breakfast to the swimmers following practice. This is $10 per swimmer, Venmo, cash, or check.
- Please RSVP by Monday, July 14th
Banquet
- The end of the season banquet is Sunday, July 27th at 6:15 PM
- Cost: $25 per person
- Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 23rd.
