 Hope everyone had an amazing 4th of July.  This week is our last week of dual meets. 

We will celebrate our seniors at tomorrow's home meet.  There are a lot of deadlines coming up in the next week so please make sure you are declaring for meets and RSVPing for the upcoming events.

First Glen Swim Team Euchre Tournament

Remember that a commitment to this event is required as part of your volunteer obligation for the season.  Participation, volunteering, and donations are all acceptable to fulfill this obligation.  If you cannot volunteer, consider a donation of a gift card or cash donation to help defray the costs of supplies.  Please reach out to Sara if you have any questions.

We need volunteers to help make this night a success, we are looking for people to with dinner and clean up. 

High Schoolers, we are willing to sign forms for volunteer hours.

 Home Meet vs Beachwood (Monday, July 7^th) SENIOR NIGHT

• Report Time is 3:30 PM
• Meet Start time is 5:30 PM

Parking:

• Please carpool if possible and leave the main Glen lot for our guests. 
• You can park behind the Total Sports Building (do not park on the grass), also behind LOC and at the Huron River Club.

Seniors and Senior parents, please be by the clubhouse at 5:15 PM for senior night activities.

 

 

Away Meet at Forest Hills (The big one)

If you cannot attend, please decline by July 7^th

We need Volunteers for this meet. 

• Report Time is 3:45 PM
• Meet Start time is 5:00 PM
• Forest Hills Swim Club 1213 Forest Hills Lane, Birmingham, MI

 

Glen Swim Team Late Night

We will be holding a late-night event on Friday, July 11th.  Please RSVP by Thursday, July 10th.

• Swimmers under the age of 10 must be accompanieded by a parent or responsible adult.
• This event is limited to swim team families only, anyone not on the team will be asked to leave when the pool closes at 10:00 PM, feel free to come before 10 PM as the pool will be open
• The event will include fun relays and games for the kids to play.
• We will have food around 10:30 PM
• Everyone must leave the pool grounds at 11:55 PM.

 

NSSL Finals T-Shirt Orders

 The NSSL Championship Merch Online Store is officially open!

The Preorder Sales Deadline for these items is Sunday, July 13th at 11:59pm.

With the small Window for Production, No order will be accepted once the online store closes.

Once the orders have been completed, the orders will be bagged by Family/Swimmer and separated by Swim Club, then given to your Swim Club Representative for Distribution at NSSL "B" Finals on July 19th. at Bloomfield Surf Club.

If you will not be at your "B" Finals, your order will be available to be picked up at your Club the week between "B" & "A" Finals and then at "A" Finals on July 26th & 27th. at Beachwood.
 

Happy Ads

 

Celebrate your Swimmer(s) with a Happy Ad!!! Happy Ads are short and sweet messages of support and encouragement, printed in the NSSL Championship Meet Programs.

 

• STEP ONE: Complete and submit this form by July 10th.

• STEP TWO: Complete payment ($5 per ad) via Zelle (Northwest Suburban Swim League (it's listed as a "business" with contact email as [email protected]) or Venmo (@NSSLMi) by July 10th

 

All Happy Ads submitted and paid for by July 10th will be included in both A Finals and B Finals Programs.

 

End of the season coaches gifts and thank yous.

Every year we collect cash contributions towards end-of-the-year coaches gifts.  Please consider contributing towards these gifts. 

• Cash donations in a marked envelope can be placed in the blue mailbox, I will do the final pick up from the mailbox on Saturday July 26th in the evening.

• If you wish to Venmo a coaches gift these will need to be done by the end of day on Thursday 7/24th so I am able to cash them out from the Bank on Friday.  Venmo is @FarmingtonGlen_swimteam, please indicate coaches gift on the memo.

If you would like to leave a thank you note to the coaches to be included with their gifts at the banquet those can be placed in the bin under the white board starting Wednesday evening at Spirit Sign making.  I will collect this bin Saturday July 26th evening.  Thank you cards can also be brought to the banquet.

Upcoming Events

 

The Spirit breakfast is Friday, July 18^th

• We will serve breakfast to the swimmers following practice.  This is $10 per swimmer, Venmo, cash, or check. 
• Please RSVP by Monday, July 14^th

 

Banquet

• The end of the season banquet is Sunday, July 27^th at 6:15 PM
• Cost: $25 per person
• Please RSVP by Wednesday, July 23^rd.
