July 13th Weekly Update
Hi Glenns,
Thank you to everyone who donated and participated in the euchre tournament this weekend. We had a great time and earned some good money for updates for our timing and scoring system for next season.
We have a couple of exciting weeks coming up. Please make sure you make a note of all the upcoming deadlines.
Drew sent out the A finals entry and B Finals rosters this morning. Please take a minute to review.
We will also need 5 Volunteers for B Finals. Please sign up on the event page.

- RELAY WORK 8:40- 9 AM
- 12 and under 9-10 am
- 12 and unders on a relay need to be ready to get in the water by 8:40 AM.

NSSL Finals T-Shirt Orders
The NSSL Championship Merch Online Store is officially open!

The Preorder Sales Deadline for these items is Sunday, July 13th at 11:59pm.
With the small Window for Production, No order will be accepted once the online store closes.
Once the orders have been completed, the orders will be bagged by Family/Swimmer and separated by Swim Club, then given to your Swim Club Representative for Distribution at NSSL "B" Finals on July 19th. at Bloomfield Surf Club.
If you will not be at your "B" Finals, your order will be available to be picked up at your Club the week between "B" & "A" Finals and then at "A" Finals on July 26th & 27th. at Beachwood.
Spirit Sign Making
Wednesday, July 16th at 6 PM at the Glen.
Come Join us at the Glen to Make Spirit Signs for all the swimmers swimming in Finals. Come for the whole time or for just a little bit and bring your creativity.
Spirit Breakfast
- Friday, July 18th, See the practice schedule above
- The breakfast is for swimmers only.
- Cost is $10 per swimmer, Cash Check or Venmo
- please put money in the blue mailbox. indicate Spirit Breakfast (Cash must be in an envelope with swimmers' names on the outside.,)
- RSVP by Wednesday, July 16th by committing or declining the event.
B Finals
Bloomfield Swim and Tennis Club July 20, 2024

We must provide 5 volunteers for this meet. If we do not the club will be fined for each open volunteer spot. Slots are open on our website.
REPORT TIMES:
- AM Session 11 and older Swimmers 7:30 AM
- PM SESSION 10 and unders: 11:30 PM
Meet Schedule: (Ending times and start time of the afternoon session are approximate – will be validated after entries are in)
Competition AM– All 11 and up 9:00 AM Start Time
Competition PM – 10 and unders 1:30 PM Start Time
Parking: Spectator parking is available at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 43816 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Twp, MI 48302. Parking anywhere in the Mulberry Square Apartment complex is strictly prohibited and vehicles will be towed. Parking in the nearby subdivision is at your own risk and not recommended. BHSAT is not responsible for vehicles that are ticketed and/or towed.
Shuttle: BHSAT is providing a shuttle service 7AM –6PM with pickup/drop off at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 43816 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Twp, MI 48302. It is recommended swimmers are dropped off at BHSAT prior to their warmup so an adult can park and take the shuttle. The shuttle is expected to run every 10-15 minutes so be prepared and allow enough time.
Admissions: There is a $5 admission fee. Volunteers get in for free.
The team pays the $15 per swimmer registration fee for the meet. Swimmers who no-show the meet will be charged for this fee.
A Finals
- A Finals are held at Beachwood on Saturday and Sunday, July 26 & 27
- Morning Session: Swimmers 13 and up
- Afternoon Session: Swimmers 12 and under
- Prelims are held on Saturday. Finals (top 12 per event, including relays) are held on Sunday.
There will be an admission charge of $10, volunteers get in for free.
Banquet
- The end of the season banquet is Sunday, July 27th St. Mary’s Banquet Center, at 6:15 PM (18100 Merriman Rd, Livonia, MI 48152)
- Please RSVP by Sunday July 20th and pay by the 23rd.
- RSVP on the event page by declining or committing for one of your swimmers. Please include a note in your RSVP letting us know how many people will be attending.
- $25 per person (including swimmers).
- Payment should be placed in the green swim team mailbox under the whiteboard by Wednesday, July 23rd. Please make checks payable to Farmington Glen Swim Team.
End of the season coaches gifts and thank yous.
Every year, we collect cash contributions towards end-of-the-year coaches' gifts. Please consider contributing towards these gifts.
- Cash donations in a marked envelope can be placed in the blue mailbox. I will do the final pick up from the mailbox on Saturday, July 26t,h in the evening.
- If you wish to Venmo a coach's gift, these will need to be done by the end of the day on Thursday, July 24th so I am able to cash them out from the Bank on Friday. Venmo is @FarmingtonGlen_swimteam, please indicate coach's gift on the memo.
If you would like to leave a thank you note to the coaches to be included with their gifts at the banquet, those can be placed in the bin under the white board starting Wednesday evening at Spirit Sign making. I will collect this bin Saturday, July 26th evening. Thank you cards can also be brought to the banquet.
