Hi Cool Dell Families!

Swim season is almost here, and we’re excited to get started! There’s a lot of important information in this email, so please read carefully and reach out if you have any questions. Let's dive in!

1. Returning Families – Register ASAP!

If your child is planning to swim or dive this summer, please complete registration ASAP so we can finalize our coaching staff and practice groups.

  • Where to register: www.cooldellcdragons.com
  • Cost: No payment is collected at the time of registration. You’ll click through a $0 balance.
  • After registering: Your swimmer(s) will show a status of “waiting for approval.” We will approve swimmers manually before the season starts.
  • Choose the correct team: Make sure you register your child for the right group — Swim Team, Dive Team, or Swim/Dive Team.

No longer participating this year? Let us know so we can remove you from the email list.

2. Ribbons 🎖️

  • Swimmers age 12 & under: Automatically receive ribbons after each meet.
  • Swimmers age 13+: Will only receive ribbons if they opt-in.

3. Swim Practice Schedule

Evening Practices (Pre-Season)

Tuesday, May 27

  • 4:30–5:30 pm: New Swimmer Evaluations (all ages)
  • 5:30–6:30 pm: Group 3 (ages 7–11, proficient in all four strokes AND swam 7:30am last year or evaluated for 7:30am this year)

Wednesday, May 28

  • 4:30–5:00 pm: Group 1 – Ages 6 & under
  • 5:00–5:30 pm: Group 2 – Ages 7–10 not proficient in all four strokes
  • 5:30–6:30 pm: Group 3 – Same as above

Thursday, May 29 – NO PRACTICE

Morning Practices (Start Friday, May 30)

Practice will continue each weekday morning, even on meet days.

  • 7:30–8:30 am – Group 3: Ages 7–11, proficient in all strokes (same criteria as above)
  • 8:30–9:45 am – Group 4: Ages 12 & up
  • 9:45–10:30 am – Group 2: Ages 7–10, not proficient in all four strokes
  • 10:30–11:00 am – Group 1: Ages 6 & under

Late Start Practice (Day After Meets)

(Tentative Dates: 6/3, 6/10, 6/17, 6/24, 7/1, 7/8)

  • 8:15–9:00 am – Group 3
  • 9:00–10:00 am – Group 4
  • 10:00–10:30 am – Group 2
  • 10:30–11:00 am – Group 1

4. Team Suits 👙

Team swimsuits are available at B&B Aquatics in Des Peres. We’re using the same suit as last year (black with green trim + optional Cool Dell embroidery).

  • Female suit: $56.25 + tax (+$15 embroidery, optional)
  • Male suit: $41.25 + tax (+$15 embroidery, optional)

Deadline for embroidery orders: Friday, May 9

5. Recommended Goggles 😎

6. Swim Meet Declarations 🏁

Please log in and declare your swimmer’s attendance at meets as early as possible. This helps coaches with lineup planning.

  • Where: Team Unify → Events & Competition → Edit Commitment

  • Mon, June 2 – Green & White @ Cool Dell (intrasquad)
  • Mon, June 9 – vs. Lake of the Woods @ Cool Dell
  • Mon, June 16 – @ MAC West
  • Mon, June 23 – @ Washington
  • Mon, June 30 – @ Lake Chesterfield
  • Mon, July 7 – vs. Cedar Mill @ Cool Dell
  • Fri, July 11 – 11 & Over Conference Champs @ Cool Dell
  • Sat, July 12 – 10 & Under Conference Champs @ Cedar Mill

7. Job Duty Sign-Ups 💼

Each family must complete 3 (possibly 4) job duties during the regular season.

  • Only one sign-up per family for the Green & White meet.
  • Families with 10 & Under swimmers: Must sign up for at least one bullpen duty.
  • Conference job sign-ups will open later.
