Happy Summer! Another School year in the books, now it’s time to have a blast at Cool Dell!

Let’s hope warmer weather and sunny days get here soon! 

 

Swim Practice Schedule Week of June 2nd:

Regular morning practice schedule (including mornings of meets):

7:30 – 8:30am – Group 3   (swimmers age 7 – 11 who are proficient in all 4 strokes)

8:30 – 9:45am – Group 4   (swimmers age 12 & over)

9:45 – 10:30am – Group 2   (swimmers age 7 – 10 not proficient in all 4 strokes)  

10:30 – 11:00am   – Group 1   (swimmers age 6 & under)

 

Late Practice Schedule for Tuesday, June 3rd:

Group 3 (swimmers 7-11 years old, who typically swim at 7:30a): Practice will run from 8:15a - 9a

Group 4 (Swimmers 12+, who typically swim at 8:30-9:30a): Practice will run from 9a - 10a

Group 2 (Swimmers 7-11 who are not proficient in all 4 strokes, who typically swim at 9:45a): Practice will run from 10-10:30a

Group 1 (Swimmers 6 and under): Practice will run from 10:30-11a

 

A few reminders regarding practice:

  • If your child needs to miss practice, email Coach Ted and Coleen at [email protected]
  • To allow the swimmers to focus on swimming, please stay off the pool deck during practice.  Parents can sit on the upper deck or the patio near concessions.
  • Drop off for swim and dive team is at the top of the hill. DO NOT park in reserved parking spots that do not belong to you or drive down the hill to drop off or pick up kids for practice.  

 

Green & White Swim Meet & Swim Meet Declarations 🏁

Please log in and declare your swimmer’s attendance at meets as early as possible. This helps coaches with lineup planning.

If you haven’t already, please declare your swimmers for swim meets on Team Unify ASAP

✅ Declare for Meets (Team Unify → Events & Competition → Edit Commitment)
• Green & White Meet declarations due TONIGHT, May 29
• Declare "YES" or "NO"
• Deadline: Midnight each Thursday before a meet
• Swimmers not declared in time will NOT be entered

Green and White Swim Meet: This is a fun intra-squad meet to practice racing and jobs before the real season begins.

  • Arrival: 4:45 PM
  • Warmups: 5:00 PM
  • Meet Starts: 5:30 PM

Details including meet entries and heat sheet will be emailed to you over the weekend/Monday. 

Meet Conduct Expectations: 

  • 1.) Help make clean up easy for all! Please pick up after your swimmers and yourself.  
  • 2.) Bullpens are not set it and forget it. Please check in on your little ones throughout the meet.  Between the excitement of the meet and the chance to have fun with friends, bullpens can get a little wild. We appreciate your help to make the meets go smoothly. Also, please apply sunscreen and bug spray to kids before you leave them in the bullpen. NO sunscreen or bug spray is allowed in the bullpens.

 

 

Dive Team Update:

The first couple days of dive practice have been chilly but outstanding! We have lots of new divers and Coach Faddis appreciates every diver who has braved the cold to start the season on such a strong note. Please note the following:

  • Afternoon practices will continue through June 6
  • Morning practices start June 9 
    • On Monday, June 2 we will practice as one group, 4:00-5:30, so we can be out of the way for the Green & White swim meet. If you swim and dive, you are excused from this practice, but you’re also welcome to practice 4:00-4:30 then attend the swim meet.
  • The first DIVE meet will be our Green and White intrasquad meet on Saturday, June 7.  More info to come from Coach Faddis on that next week.
  • Our annual Dive Parent's meeting will be on Thursday, June 5th at 5:00 immediately followed by the judging clinic at 5:30. We will meet in the covered area next to the dive tank

 

Job Duty Sign-Ups 💼

Each family must complete 3 job duties during the regular season. Today is the last day to sign up for work duties! This weekend, we will begin to assign job duties to those who have not signed up.

 

  • Only one sign-up per family for the Green & White meet.
  • Families with 10 & Under swimmers: Must sign up for at least one bullpen duty.
  • Conference job sign-ups will open later.

Ribbons 🎖️

  • Swimmers age 12 & under: Automatically receive ribbons after each meet. These will be available for pickup on Weds mornings near the front desk
  • Swimmers age 13+: Will only receive ribbons if they opt-in.

👕 Spirit Wear -

Orders will be available for pickup at the Green and White meet on Monday.

Dive families- if you're able to come pick up during the meet, that would be great! There will also be croc charms, sunglasses, bag tags and select shirts and hats available to purchase. 

Team Swim Caps: Silicone caps will also be available for purchase at the Green & White meet.  They are $12 each and can be purchased through the concession stand.
