Week 4 Team Updates

We are done with Week 4! We only have three more regular-season meets. It is going by so fast everyone!

Updates

In-Division Meet Results

Both of our meets this week were in-division. They were scored and counted in the league standings that you can see on the league website. We did lose both of the meets, but we put up a great fight. I was very happy with the number of points we were able to put up against those teams. Results with scores are attached below.

Championship Meet Commitments

There was some type of error with the creation of this event. It was retaining commitments from last year. In order to avoid confusion, I had to create a new event. If you previously committed to championships, you will have to do so again and enter the note if they have preferred events. If you haven't thought that far yet, please take a look at your schedule and commit to any remaining meets.

Ribbons are in your bins!

Some new people may not know that the swimmers get awarded for 1^st-6^th in individual events and 1^st-3^rd in relays. They also get awarded for every best time that they achieve! Those ribbons are placed in bins at the swim school labeled with their last name by the soda cooler. The labels get completed every week on Monday or Tuesday for the meet or two prior.

Looking ahead at week 5!

Practice

• Sunday night at HCC. Mornings at HCC. 
• Group 1 will practice on Tuesday! There are no swim lessons this week. Since the pool will be empty during that time, it allows us to fit in that practice. 
• We are going to continue to focus on starts with an emphasis on in-water starts for backstroke and relays for the appropriate age groups. We will also be working on some technique across all the strokes to tune things up with only one meet this week.

Meets

One meet against Valleybrook (Wed) are coming this week.

• This is another out-of-division meet. We will be trying to balance out some events that swimmers may not have been able to do at the last two meets.
