Spirit Meet – “Yellowlicious with a splash of Purplicious!”
Purple and Yellow leis will be given to the swimmers after warmups.
Poster Contest
Here is your chance to show your talent on a Poster Board.
Bring your Spirit Poster to the meet!
It can be taped onto the fence near the entrance.
Please ensure that your swimmer puts his or her name on the back of it.
All Spirit Posters will be numbered.
During the meet, feel free to check out all the posters and casts a vote!
At the end of the swim meet, we will collect all posters.
The posters will be displayed at the End of Season Banquet.
Poster winners will be announced, and prizes awarded at the End of Season Banquet!
(If you need poster board, it will be available at Friday's Practice.)
Senior Recognition
What an honor it will be to recognize those swimmers who graduated this year - 2023.

- 4:30 pm - Please have your swimmer at the pool No Later Than (NLT) 4:30pm
- 4:45 pm – Warm-ups
- 5:25 pm - Officials Briefing (by the white tent -- computer area)
- 5:30 pm - Timer's Briefing (by the white tent -- computer area)
Arrival –
All families/swimmers need to arrive through the side gate. All swimmers must arrive in a suit ready to compete.

Parking –
Parking is located at the Ashley Furniture parking lot (old Gardiner’s Furniture parking lot). Feel free to drop swimmers/family members off at the top of the little side road that leads down to the gate. There will be Parking Attendants to help you.
NOTE – There may be a lacrosse or soccer game on the fields on Wednesday night. So, please avoid parking on the grass across from the soccer fields.
WHERE TO SIT -
Fountain Green - FG will sit in the grass area along the building by the Rec Pool, as well as the grassy area behind the slides.
Arena Club - STARZ will sit by the lap pool along the fence, along the chemical/pump building/along the spa and therapy pool.
Chairs / Pop-up Canopies -
These are permitted in your designated seating area. We encourage your families to bring their pop-up chairs.
OFF LIMITS -
- All pools (except for the lap pool where the meet is held).
- Slides
- White Chairs/Lounge Chairs
- Pickle Ball Court
SWIMMER Check–in:
When you arrive, please have your swimmer check in with the STARZ coaching staff.
Volunteers –
If you have volunteered for this meet, please indicate that when you Check in with Jenn Loper, our Volunteer Coordinator.
Your name will be put into the Volunteer Raffle Drawing, which will be drawn during the second half of the meet.
Concessions –
Come HUNGRY -- Enjoy some dinner (burgers, hotdogs, chicken tenders), snacks, and beverages!!
We are set up to accept both credit card and cash.
Raffles –
We will have our 50 / 50 Raffle!
Clerk of Course –
Clerk of Course will be set up behind the blocks!
Heat Winners / Candy Heats –
Heat Winners will be awarded. We will have random "Candy Heats" as well.
Results –
Results will be posted near the entrance to the locker rooms (near concessions).
Relays - Do NOT leave the meet without checking in with your coach. Your swimmer may be in a relay.
The 8 & Under Free Relay is at the beginning of the meet, allowing the little ones to swim their relays and individual freestyle and backstroke events early.
OLDER SWIMMERS -- after your last event, DO NOT LEAVE!! Please check in with your coach to see if you are in a relay.
Photos / Facebook –
Jamie Stamper will be taking action photos again this meet! Once edited, she will post them on our STARZ FB page. Yay!
Ribbons –
There will be ribbons for 1st-6th place. Renee Mann will do the ribbons and have them available for pickup within a couple of days after the meet.
Retail & T-shirt SALES – near the entrance by Concessions.

Meet Mobile –
This meet will be pushed to “Meet Mobile.”
New Swim Families –
Meet Mobile is a downloadable app allowing people to view results as soon as the times are pulled into the computer.
Keep in mind, the times are not official until the event has been adjudicated.
Here are a few examples: DQs need to be entered, Timer Sheets need to be checked to see if any swimmers had changed lanes, questionable dolphin times need to be check, and the list goes on…)

Parent Preparation for Meets
LABEL all of your swimmers' gear (goggles, caps, t-shirts, sweats, water bottles, coolers, towels, socks, shoes, etc.) It's amazing what's left after swim meets.
WATER. WATER, AND MORE WATER. DON'T LET SWIMMERS GET DEHYDRATED.
OTHER: Snack bars are usually good, but don't let your swimmers eat junk food during meets (though parents won't be scolded if they indulge themselves.) Don't forget extra sunscreen. Swimmers sit under tents, but occasionally they get sunburned anyway. Hats with large brims protect heads and ears as well.
