VOLUNTEERS
WE ARE STILL SHORT TIMERS! Please click on the link below, click on "Job Sign-up," and sign up to time, if you can! Thank you!!!
TIME DETAILS:
- 7:00 – 7:10 – Arrival -- Please have your swimmer at the pool NLT (No Later Than) 7:10 am
- 7:25 am – Warm-ups
- 7:30 am – Official’s Briefing (listen for announcements)
- 7:30 am – Timer’s Briefing (listen for announcements)
- 8:00 am – Meet Begins (right after the National Anthem)
Arrival - All swimmers must arrive at the facility in a suit ready to compete.

Parking – There will be parking attendants to direct you. (Picture is below.)
Seating – Seating for Arena is on as you walk through the side gate.
(See picture below -- we will sit in the area marked in Yellow.)
As a reminder, please do not use AB's chairs or lounge chairs. Additionally, the only area of the pool that we are permitted to enter is the lap pool where the meet is conducted.
SWIMMER Check–in -
When you arrive, please have your swimmer check in with the STARZ coaching staff.
Volunteers – If you have volunteered for this meet, please check in with Jenn Loper.
Your name will be put into the Volunteer Raffle Drawing, which will be drawn during the second half of the meet.
Concessions – There will be concessions! Cash and PAYPAL accepted -- Cash is preferred!
Clerk of Course – Clerk of course will be directly behind the blocks. COC for the 25 yard events will be near the bulk head.
Results – Results will be posted.
Relays - Do NOT leave the meet without checking in with your coach. Your swimmer may be in a relay.
The 8 & Under Free Relay is at the beginning of the meet, allowing the little ones to swim their relays and individual freestyle and backstroke events early.
OLDER SWIMMERS -- after your last event, DO NOT LEAVE!! Please check in with your coach to see if you are in a relay.
Photos / Facebook – Jamie Stamper will be taking action photos this meet! Once edited, she will post them on our STARZ FB page. Yay!
Ribbons – There will be ribbons for 1st-6th place. Renee Mann will do the ribbons and have them available for pickup within a couple of days after the meet.
Meet Mobile – This meet will be pushed to “Meet Mobile.”

Meet Mobile is a downloadable app allowing people to view results as soon as the times are pulled into the computer.
Keep in mind, the times are not official until the event has been adjudicated.
Here are a few examples: DQs need to be entered, Timer Sheets need to be checked to see if any swimmers had changed lanes, questionable dolphin times need to be check, and the list goes on…)
Meet Mobile pricing – the BEST DEAL is to pay for the year - $9.99 / year.
Things to pack for a swim meet:
- Chairs (camping style)
- Tents (pop up style)
- Suncreen
- Sharpees
- Extra goggles

- bug spray
- snacks
- water
- money
- swimsuit / jammers
- TEAM SHIRT
LABEL all of your swimmers' gear (goggles, caps, t-shirts, sweats, water bottles, coolers, towels, socks, shoes, etc.) It's amazing what's left after swim meets.
WATER. WATER, AND MORE WATER. DON'T LET SWIMMERS GET DEHYDRATED.
OTHER: Snack bars are usually good, but don't let your swimmers eat junk food during meets (though parents won't be scolded if they indulge themselves.) Don't forget extra sunscreen. Swimmers sit under tents, but occasionally they get sunburned anyway. Hats with large brims protect heads and ears as well.
