Brogan's coaching career began in 2015 when he started Salt Creek Club's first ever water polo team. With home-made goals, minimal equipment and a handful of athletes, it was a slow start. With the help of Salt Creek's Aquatics director, lead HSC coach and friend Chuck Genoar, Brogan was able to introduce the sport to many young athletes that had otherwise never heard of it. Each summer, the team grew in size and now holds 60+ members across all age groups and ability levels. In the spring of 2020, Brogan became the junior varsity coach for the men's team at Hinsdale Central. Brogan decided that only offering three months of water polo wasn't enough. Ever since starting that first team at Salt Creek, Brogan dreamed of creating a year-round program to introduce the sport to the next generation of athletes in District 86. Now, his dream has finally come true.
