Coaching Announcement

Tonya Almond
The Piranhas are excited to share our summer coaching team of Elsie Kneas and Ethan Horky!

Coach Elsie grew up in the Palisades and has been swimming for the Piranhas for as long as she can remember. Elsie graduated from Providence Day School, where she was captain of the volleyball team, and swam on the swim team her senior year. Currently, she studies Psychology at Texas Christian University. When Elsie is not on the pool deck, you can find her spending time at the lake with family and friends. Elsie loved her years as a junior coach for the Piranhas and cannot wait to step into the coaching role this season. She is most excited to reconnect with returning swimmers and welcome new members to the team!

Coach Ethan will be returning to the pool this summer after he returns from his study abroad program.  He grew up in the Palisades since he was 2 years old and began swimming for the Piranhas as a shrimp. He attended Gaston Day School and served as captain for the Varsity Soccer, Swimming, and Track teams. He now studies Environmental Design in Architecture at NC State University. In his free time, Ethan loves to hang out with friends and family and enjoys being outside. He is excited to coach all of the new and returning Piranhas this summer!
